KP Designs brings many years of turnkey interior design experience by working with spaces in and around Louisville since 2008. Our interior designers are equipped to help you determine the overall layout and design that work best for you.

Our initial meeting takes place on your site where we can visualize a design solution within the colors and lighting of the surroundings. We also have a beautiful studio where we present clients’ projects and they can personally touch and feel fabrics and textiles.

Our designers will work with you to visualize a design solution that aligns with your taste, space, and level of investment. Our personalized approach ensures that everything we recommend is customized to you.

It Starts With a Phone Call... and Then A Visit

When you make that first phone call, we’ll discuss:

  • Your Vision Your ideas and what you see for your space
  • Your Lifestyle Understanding you and how to ensure your space reflects that story
  • Your Plan – Understanding your timeline so we can get started creating your dream home or office

A designer will then schedule a visit at the location to find out the full scope of the project and discuss all aspects, because we know that every project presents its own unique set of circumstances.

We will request a brief tour of the residence or business space and you should mention any specific problem areas. This is a time to get to know each other and decide how to move forward.

The initial appointment typically lasts about an hour. Larger projects may require longer or more than one appointment.

Once we decide to work together, our team will take photos, measurements, and engage a written retainer agreement with you. If you have inspiration photos and/or accurate blueprints, please feel free to provide those.

Once the scope of the project and investment level is established, our professionals will return to the studio and begin working on your design!

Investment

People are often shy to discuss how much they want to invest in a decorating project but for both parties it is by far one of the most important aspects of your initial consultation. You may not know how much things cost and we can work with you to determine a budget that accomplishes your overall project goals.

You may choose to work on one room at a time or the entire home. The investment in your home or business will determine the furnishing and finishes your interior designer can include in the project. We have to the trade only pieces, custom upholstery and custom drapery. We also have relationships with American craftsman for custom furniture, and imported furniture too.

Design, Decoration... and Styling

Back at our studio, our design professionals will select products from the best brands in the industry to meet your style, including finishes, colors, furniture, lighting and more. We present the design to you along with any samples and renderings needed to help you visualize your new space!

Behind The Scenes

Once we receive your approval on the design plan, our team will start ordering the necessary furniture, fabric, rugs, drapery, and other products from our vendors nationally and internationally. As items arrive individually, they are stored together safely until everything arrives, and we will keep you informed of progress every step of the way.

The Big Reveal

On delivery day, we will have professionals deliver furniture pieces to your home, install window treatments, wall coverings, and whatever else your design involves. We stage your space with all the items in your design and accessorize them in order to provide a grand reveal for you. All you need to do is enjoy your newly designed room!
